Adventure-seekers: Ready, steady, go outdoors with Adventure Tours UK!
New investment leads to a bright future for a responsible travel and sustainable tourism business aimed at adventure-seekers.
What happens when you combine tailor-made activities, beautiful wild, open countryside, and securing significant funding from angel investors? The answer is renewed motivation for two business owners hopeful for a bright future during uncertain times.
Adventure Tours UK offers activities and holidays of a lifetime in beautiful locations across North East Wales, Snowdonia and Angelsey. The company was established in 2018 by Claire Copeman and Jim Gaffney to bring together those interested in the outdoors and willing to step outside their comfort zone for unforgettable wellness breaks. Activities for solo adventurers, families, groups and corporate events include trail running, yoga, mountain biking, wild wellness retreats, canoeing and much more – some activities are not for the faint-hearted!
Our legal experts recently worked with this Denbighshire business and funding parties to secure an investment deal for this sustainable tourism company.
How the Hillyer McKeown (HM) team was involved
Our corporate team worked with the parties to ensure that the needs for all involved were aligned. This included checking legal requirements and managing funding expectations of the business owners and investors from Angel Invest Wales (AIW), which is part of an initiative driven by the Development Bank of Wales (DBoW).
Anne Scheland, who leads the team, says:
“The work on this investment deal during such an uncertain time will have a significant impact on the future of Adventure Tours UK as it expands into the travel industry. I am proud to have been part of this ongoing growth for Claire and Jim, building upon their established vision, strength and determination so they can come out stronger than ever in 2021.”
The funding is set to have a huge impact on the future of the company by safeguarding the business, creating new jobs, funding crucial marketing activity and boosting the tourism industry – just in time for the global travel market in Wales to reopen.
