Helping Apprentices Blaze A Trail for #NAW19
Hillyer McKeown (HM) is proud to once again celebrate apprentices during the 12th National Apprenticeship Week (#NAW19). The national campaign led by the National Apprenticeship Service runs from 4th to 8th March 2019, and the theme is ‘Blaze A Trail’.
BLAZE is represented as B – Benefit, L – Learn, A – Aspire, Z – Zest and E – Energise.
HM’s group managing partner, Lindsey Kidd says:
“The business is committed to offering apprenticeships and is proud to develop and support our talented team. We’ll continue building on existing skills, through training and progression into key roles across the firm.
Apprentices make a positive contribution to day to day operations, and the diverse nature of our teams and culture. We’ll continue ‘growing our own’ – apprenticeships are demonstrating that a long term career in legal services is accessible for those who decide not to pursue a traditional route.”
Apprentices Fire It Up – why HM is supporting NAW19
Lindsey expands on why NAW19 is a good opportunity to celebrate the achievements of our apprentices:
“We are proud that 100% of our apprentices have been offered positions within the firm after completing their Apprenticeship. Previous apprentices are progressing into more involved roles, with several undertaking advanced Apprenticeship or CILEx training.
I am personally delighted to see that all of our apprentices, both past and present, have received RISE Values nominations from colleagues. This shows their commitment to career and personal development aligned with our Values, contributing to a positive working culture.”
At Hillyer McKeown R-I-S-E represents:
Respect: Working as One Team
Innovate: Making a Difference
Shine: Doing and Being Our Best
Engage: Communicate Effectively
Nominees receive a certificate for their nomination and are encouraged to collect each of the 4 Values to complete the set.
