Hillyer McKeown announced as corporate supporters of Chester Zoo

Chester law firm, Hillyer McKeown, have announced that they have become corporate supporters of Chester Zoo.

The law firm who employ 70 people have offices based in Chester, North Wales and Birkenhead.

Speaking in their new capacity as corporate supporters, Richard Burnett, Head of Marketing and Client Services, for Hillyer McKeown, said: “Having worked with Chester Zoo in a legal capacity recently, we were really impressed when we gained a deeper understanding of their plans and environmental and conservation initiatives. Their goals for increasing community education and field based projects means that this is really an exciting time for the zoo.”

The Zoo was recently named the most popular visitor attraction in England outside of London for the third year running, according to new figures which showed the attraction welcomed more than 1.4 million visitors in 2013.

Richard added:

“What struck us most when we visited the team at Chester Zoo, was their commitment to education and the local community as a whole. With firm plans for expansion, including the £30m Islands project which will transform an unoccupied six hectares of the zoo, and will bring much needed inward investment into the local economy. As a firm, Hillyer McKeown have similar objectives when it comes to growth within the local economy, community collaboration and the creation of new employment opportunities and therefore supporting Chester Zoo felt like the natural choice for us.”
