Meet Andrew Hazeldine, Hillyer McKeown Residential Conveyancing Solicitor

I appreciate that buying or selling a property can be a stressful process, with lots of paperwork full of technical language to read. For over 13 years I have been helping people buy and sell houses, including handling complicated property transactions.

I am also aware that every transaction is different. This is one reason why, right from the start, my approach revolves around my clients’ needs and experience (not the other way round)!

As such, I take a pragmatic approach. I believe that by being proactive I can take the stress and worry out of the transaction. This includes providing necessary progress updates as part of the process.

Guiding you through the conveyancing process

I also aim to communicate with you in plain English, so that you understand what is happening at each stage. By guiding you through the process and how long it takes, you are kept informed and have no surprises.

As a specialist solicitor, I have extensive experience in dealing with an array of buying and selling residential property including:

  • Freehold and leasehold properties.
  • New builds.
  • Shared ownership.
  • Investment properties, including buying a property through a company.
  • Remortgages and transfers of equity.
  • Non-standard mortgages, including bridging finance.
  • Acting for executors of an estate or attorneys when someone dies.
  • Help to Buy schemes, including Help to Buy ISAs and Lifetime ISAs.
  • Voluntary and statutory lease extensions.
  • Collective enfranchisement.

Taking pride in my work

I genuinely take pride in providing a high level of service for my clients, ensuring that the transaction proceeds as smoothly and cost-effectively as possible. After all, my reputation is built on the feedback and recommendations received from my clients and introducers! As such I gain great satisfaction from helping clients and feel it is crucial to provide a high quality service.

Leasehold property advice

I have a particular passion for dealing with lease extensions and collective enfranchisement. My specialist knowledge and extensive experience covers statutory lease extensions.

Do you own a leasehold property with a lease term approaching 80 years or below? This can be tricky. You may have difficulty selling the property or getting a mortgage.

If you are in this situation and would like advice about your options, please call me or email me.

Our conveyancing team offers a free initial consultation, and you have no obligation to use our services because you have briefly in touch with us.

Outside of work

In my spare time I enjoy running (where time permits) and spending time with my family. I also love to travel and watch live music.
