Meet Bethan Capper, Hillyer McKeown’s Wills and Probate Senior Legal Assistant.
I really enjoy the kind of work I do at Hillyer McKeown as it allows me to meet people from all walks of life. Over the two years I have been here, I have had the opportunity to help clients, doing as much as I can to guide then through their particular circumstances.
I like to think that when they first come in to see me with a problem I am able to sit down and talk through exactly what it is they need, and how I can help. It is nice when clients mention that I took away their worry or that I have helped them through a stressful situation. It gives me a sense of pride when my expertise can help people in this way.
Wills and probate expert
Areas I specialise in include drafting and registering Powers of Attorney, this covers the registration of existing Enduring Powers of Attorney.
My other area of expertise is Court of Protection matters and applications to appoint a deputy to look after a person’s property and financial affairs when they are no longer able to doing so.
I manage the financial affairs of the person who lacks capacity to do so themselves where a partner of this firm is the Court appointed Deputy and also the financial affairs of those who have appointed a partner of this firm as an Attorney under a registered Lasting Power of Attorney.
I am also experienced in administrating non-taxable estates, whether this be where the deceased has a Will or not.
I frequently work in the Chester office, and also across the North West.
If we can we help you to prepare a Will or advice about estate planning? Or perhaps you are looking for help to solve a problem about probate or a trust dispute.
