Meet Ceri Burns, Hillyer McKeown Legal Advisor, Wills, Trusts and Estates
A Will is a very important document for everyone. It allows you to provide for your loved ones and ensure they will be looked after. I am able to give you tailored and personal advice to fit your own circumstances.
I have encountered many clients who very much feel the need for sound, well-informed plans for not only their future but also the future of their families. I have helped clients sort out their affairs during their lifetimes, giving them peace of mind that everything is in order, and assisted families when people have passed away.
Services I offer:
- Making or reviewing a Will.
- Care home fee planning.
- Estate planning.
- Inheritance tax advice.
- Making and registering Lasting Power of Attorney.
Though a young member of the Wills, Trusts and Estates team, I feel very proud to continue helping clients in this way and it is precisely how I envisaged my work within the legal profession materialising.
Joining Hillyer McKeown
Hillyer McKeown is exactly the type of legal firm I envisaged working for when studying Law at university. It marries exceptional legal expertise with a compassionate and caring approach which are the principle tenants of my professional ethos. I am proud to be part of this team.
Since joining HM and relocating to Liverpool in 2019, I have had the privilege to work with a very experienced Wills, Trusts and Estates team which offer down-to-earth advice, in a straightforward way that is tailored specifically to the needs of the client. I enjoy the opportunity of working with a variety of clients with different needs, and I am glad that I am able to help them with a very important part of their life.
Following studying for a degree in Law at Liverpool John Moore’s University, I progressed onto studying for my Legal Practice Course and am very proud to have achieved a first-class honours degree and a distinction, respectively. Joining Hillyer McKeown is the culmination of years of planning and it offers the kind of service to clients within the community, which I want to be part of.
RightWill national network
As a Legal Advisor in the Wills and Probate team I am very involved with RightWill, a national network of law firms which work together and share resources. RightWill allows a multitude of solicitors, such as Hillyer McKeown deliver a nationally consistent and high level approach to will writing. RightWill is part of the Legal Services Group.
Outside of work
I love to socialise with my family and friends and I am a keen traveller who likes to see new places. I also like to keep fit although I am a somewhat reluctant member of the gym.
