Meet Dawn Davies, Hillyer McKeown Residential Conveyancing Executive
I am an experienced conveyancing executive who has been helping people to buy and sell houses for 20 years.
Excellent service is important to me and I enjoy dealing with the varying requirements of residential properties. I focus on keeping clients up to date when things change so they know what’s going on. Attention to detail and being attentive to client needs are also important.
When delays are out of my control, clear communication can help reduces stress by being realistic about moving in dates.
Experienced conveyancer in Chester
I am accredited under the Help To Buy Wales (shared ownership) scheme and am experienced in all aspects of residential property transactions. This includes:
- buying and selling freehold and leasehold houses
- new build transactions
- shared ownership transactions
- help to buy.
My experience also helps people understand the difference between leasehold and freehold transactions.
Buying and selling leasehold properties
Leasehold can be tricky and take far longer while I liaise with third parties. This includes outside organisations such as managing agents or local authorities (for searches). I help manage expectations as the process for buying a leasehold property can take 8 to 12 weeks. Covering the details with clients can help them to better understand why it takes longer than they first thought.
New build properties
My additional experience includes dealing with new builds covering leases, coordinating with lenders and understanding requirements. Having a picture of the process helps with moving in dates, meaning it is less stressful all round.
I joined the conveyancing team at Hillyer McKeown as I believe their innovative approach and customer service record speaks for itself.
Outside of work
I enjoy gardening and crafting which I find relaxing, and supporting my daughter when she competes in Rubik Cube competitions in the UK and abroad.
