Michelle Murphy, Hillyer McKeown Legal Advisor
Nobody likes to think about the inevitable, particularly when enjoying the present. Lifetime planning is essential in protecting you and those dearest to you, and ensuring your wishes are carried out when you are no longer in control of what is happening.
I appreciate that circumstances will vary from one person to the next. Rest assured, my advice will always be tailored according to your needs and with your best interests in mind.
I can help you with preparing a new Will or reviewing an existing Will. Also, I can assist with the following:
- Care home fee planning, including for the future so you can keep your share of the house.
- Inheritance tax advice/planning, to reduce the amount your family can lose.
- Estate planning, which covers and protects everything which is valuable to you.
- Making and registering a Lasting Power of Attorney, in case you become unable to make your own decisions.
Please contact me if you would like to discuss any of the above.
Nothing gives me more joy than when hearing clients say I have given them peace of mind, knowing that all aspects of lifetime planning have been covered.
My legal experience
My desire to work within the legal field stems from my passion for helping people and I am fortunate to put my passion into practice daily, being a member of the successful Wills, Trusts and Estates team at Hillyer McKeown.
Before joining HM in April 2019, I worked in the civil litigation sector for five years. I primarily helped vulnerable people who had been the victim of negligence or a violent crime, which resulted in physical and/or psychological injury.
I graduated from Edge Hill University in 2014 with a First Class LLB Law degree. I then achieved a Distinction in Legal Practice at Liverpool John Moores University in 2016.
What clients say

Outside of Work
Outside of work, I love to spend quality spend time with my family and friends. I also have a love for animals, particularly my two dogs, and can often be found with them at our local park or beach.
