Meet Ruth Heap, Hillyer McKeown Partner and Head of Wills and Probate.
We will work with you to put in place considered, well-informed plans for you and your loved ones. Our experienced team works with family members of all ages and is also able to support you when disputes arise. We are approachable, easy to work with and explain things in a straightforward way.
I head up the firm’s Wills and Probate department and pride myself on the level of service that my team and I provide to all our clients. It is rewarding that many of our current clients have been with us for years and return to us time and time again, and refer that they readily refer us to their friends. We have continued to support clients for many years through each change in their lives, including making a Will (or updating a Will), buying or selling a house or financial planning.
I specialise in estate planning, including Will writing and inheritance tax planning, also encompassing a broad range of trust work. I can advise about protecting your home and care home fees.
I also advise clients on a wide range of topics, including the following:
- Lasting Powers of Attorney
- Enduring Powers of Attorney
- Court of Protection matters such as Deputyships
- Areas relating to mental capacity.
I’m proud to have qualified as a Member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) after four years of study.
