Meet Wesley Heath, Hillyer McKeown Solicitor, Commercial Property
I believe it is so important to offer clients a well-rounded service which involves looking at the bigger picture; either as part of a single transaction or where we act for a client generally.
Increasingly, it is important to have a solicitor who can pull elements together to give the client a comprehensive service where necessary. For example, I provide my clients with high quality practical legal advice in a number of areas and additionally, I believe it is essential to guide clients in the direction of a tax adviser, planning specialist, property agent or surveyor – to meet their often varied needs.
Commercial property expert
I have a wide set of commercial skills that I have developed over the last 15 years working in private practice and in-house for a large property company with development and investment interests. My professional experience has largely focused on:
- commercial property acquisitions
- disposals management
- property development.
Are you looking for commercial property advice of a more complex nature? I have experience of complex lease extension and enfranchisement matters relating to residential estates management.
I am able to converse with clients and surveyors alike to keep clients fully abreast with developments on their particular matters. I have acted on lease renewals (bother residential and commercial) and rent reviews on a variety of investment properties where matters have been settled without the need for lengthy court proceedings.
While I have been involved in many aspects of commercial property, my particular areas of expertise include:
- Commercial landlord and tenant advice.
- Negotiating and drafting leases.
- Commercial lease renewals and rent reviews.
- Business sales and purchases.
- Landlord and tenant residential lease extensions – formal and informal.
- Collective enfranchisement and right of first refusal matters (residential).
Outside of work
In my spare time I like to read (preferably comedy), binge the occasional box set. Living in North Wales gives me a great opportunity to take in the vast array of landscapes, either walking or cycling. I also play the cornet in a local brass band.
